Originally from Illinois, Tyler moved to Missouri to attend undergrad at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where he received a BA in History, with minors in Spanish and Psychology. While attending undergrad, Tyler also served in the United States Army Reserve. After graduating in 2018, Tyler spent time volunteering abroad in Santiago, Chile and upon returning, working as a Court Clerk in the 13th Judicial Circuit in Boone County, Missouri. Tyler began law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in August 2022 and graduated in May 2025. During law school, Tyler participated in the Child and Family Services Clinic, assisting Kansas City residents with family law cases, ranging from divorces to uncontested adoptions. Tyler also worked as a law clerk with Berkowitz Cook Gondring Driskell & Drobeck during law school and accepted a position as an Associate Attorney upon his licensure in Missouri.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys sci-fi/fantasy, playing board games, and cheering on the Kansas City Current.
